Built for the supply chain.
Proven in practice.

"As a trading platform for cross-border flows of soil, minerals and waste materials — including the logistics by truck and vessel between the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany — every deal you close involves DIWASS notifications. In the past that meant: forms, faxes, weeks of waiting for approval from ILT or OVAM, constantly chasing where the forms were, waiting for signatures, and always that uncertainty about whether everything was correct. Travas handles the entire notification automatically — from XML generation to the authority status update in our dashboard. We can finally focus on what we do best: connecting supply and demand."

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know

We understand — it is a logical question. But EU Regulation 2024/1157 works differently from national legislation. It applies automatically in all member states, without any minister or parliament being involved. That also means no single minister can unilaterally postpone it. A new EU decision takes at least twelve to eighteen months, and involves the political dynamics of twenty-seven member states. Our assessment: do not count on it.
Most customers are operational the same day. You create an account, fill in your company details, and we fully set up the DIWASS connection for you. Want to connect Exact Online or SAP? That runs via OAuth2 and does not require an IT department. You submit your first notification the same day. We actively guide you through this — you are not experimenting.
Yes, that is one of the things we deliberately built in properly. Travas connects via OAuth2 with Exact Online, SAP and comparable ERP and TMS systems. What you already have in your own administration does not need to be re-entered. Have a system not listed here? Get in touch and we will look at what is possible.
The DIWASS government portal was built for data exchange between systems, not as a daily work tool for transport companies. For each notification you fill in everything manually, there is no connection to your own administration, and tracking the status requires constant active follow-up. Travas works via the certified machine-to-machine API: your data flows in automatically, the XML is generated, the eIDAS signature is applied, and the authority status returns automatically to your dashboard. You do not need to do anything.
Travas currently supports corridors via the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. We are expanding step by step to other EU member states — the architecture has been built for this from day one. Do you use routes to other countries? Get in touch — we will let you know when your corridor is available.
That is good news. Notifications for which the competent authority of destination issued an official acknowledgement of receipt before 21 May 2026 remain fully valid under the old regulation — EC No. 1013/2006. You do not need to resubmit anything. Legal basis: Regulation (EU) 2024/1157, Article 85, paragraph 3. For all new notifications after that date, DIWASS applies without exception.
Under the WSR, primary responsibility lies with the notifier. They are liable for a correct notification, the financial security and a complete documentation obligation. If the receiving facility does not confirm processing, the notifier must return the waste at their own cost. Travas significantly reduces this risk: every step is documented, every authority status change is traceable, and the 5-year archive is immediately available for an inspection. You can never claim you did not know.
Yes. Travas currently supports corridors via the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, including transit routes. An NL-DE route via Belgium is one notification with three competent authorities — Travas coordinates submission with all countries involved. For routes with other EU member states as transit country or destination: get in touch. We are expanding step by step — your corridor is probably already in the planning.
The base subscription costs €495 per year. On top of that you pay €2.45 per orange-list shipment and €0.48 per green-list shipment. Carriers and authorities such as ILT use the platform free of charge. There is no setup fee and you can cancel annually. The average customer pays less than €2,600 per year and saves tens of thousands of euros in administrative costs. See all pricing.
About Travas

Built by the industry,
for the industry

How Travas came to be

Travas was born from the practice of cross-border waste transport. Stefan Sengers, co-founder and owner of a waste transport company, struggled for years with sending faxes to ILT, waiting weeks for approval and stacks of paper documents for every trip.

When the EU announced DIWASS as a mandatory digital system, he and Eva Thus built, together with an internal team of four developers, the platform the industry has been missing: simple, certified and immediately usable for everyone in the supply chain.

Travas is headquartered in the Airborne Tower in Arnhem, strategically located on the axis of the three most important corridors: the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
